Health care personnel contribute to the health services in a vital and significant way to the health care delivery system in India. It organizes national health goals and is committed to participate in the implementation of national health policies and program. It aims at identifying health needs of the people, planning and providing quality care in collaboration with health care professionals.

Scope of paramedical practice encompasses provision of promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of health care to people across their life span in wide variety of health care settings. Practice of paramedical (PERFUSION) is based upon application of basic concepts and principles derived from the physical, biological and behavioral sciences.

Our national health care education program at different level is a broad based educational academic frame work, which is build upon the skills and competencies acquired at the various levels. It is specifically directed to the upgrading of critical thinking skills, competencies and standards required for practice of paramedical professional as envisaged in our national health policy 2002.

Paramedical education programs at various level prepares its personal to become exemplary citizen by adhering to a code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in fulfilling personal, social and professional obligations so as to respond to national aspirations.

Our nation is known for its multilingual and multi cultural diversity. Likewise all our paramedical courses too have multiple criteria and credibility including our perfusion programs. Keeping the above objectives and to improve the standard of perfusion technological programs at par with the American, European and Australian boards. like minded senior perfusionistgs are trying to persuade through Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion-India (BCP-I) the prevailing perfusion training programs to have a common syllabus and criteria in order to establish standards for learning environment that enables students to acquire driven, self directed learning and fostered attitude of life long learning.
