Mode of Exam

Last Date for Registration

The Annual Certification Exam of BCP-I will be conducted online. Candidates may appear for the exam from anywhere using their own laptops, PCs or smartphones. You will need a good internet connection. It is up to the candidates to appear for the exam from a location where they can get uninterrupted power supply and good Wi-Fi / internet connection. You do not have to download any app to appear for the exam.

Candidates have to register themselves for the exam using the Candidate Registration Module on the BCP-I website. Once your application is approved, the Dashboard will display the exam under “Upcoming Exams”, showing the date and time of the exam. This module will be activated only on the day of the exam. Simply click on that button and you will be able to access the exam.

Exam Papers

There will be two papers:

  1. Basic Sciences
  2. Applied Perfusion Technology

Instructions

  • Each paper will consist of 50 questions with 45 minutes per paper.
  • All questions will be MCQ type with 2 marks each. There will be negative marking of ½ (half) mark for each wrong answer. No marks for unanswered questions.
  • You have the option of skipping any question(s). When you answer the last question, the skipped question(s) will reappear in the same sequence, provided there is time.
  • A timer will start the countdown from 45 minutes at the scheduled start time of the exam. If you finish answering all questions in the first paper, you may “submit” the paper. The second paper will begin only at its designated time.
  • At the end of 45 minutes, the answers will be “Auto” submitted.
  • For Paper 2, the timer will again start counting down from 45 minutes.
  • The passing level is 50%. You have to pass in both papers — marks from one paper will not be carried forward to the other.

Mock Test / Demo Exam

The mock test will follow the same pattern mentioned above, but there will be only 20 questions in each paper. Time limit will be 16 minutes per paper (note the timer at the top of the screen). Candidates who have registered for the certification exam will be given instructions on how to access the Mock Test.

The results of the mock test won’t be announced and it has no weightage on the actual exam — this is only a practice test for candidates to get used to taking an online test. However, we strongly recommend that you take the mock test so that you become familiar with appearing for an online exam. We will also conduct one Compulsory Mock Test, wherein all candidates will have to appear at the specified date and time.

Note: The starting time of the exam will be the same for all candidates, irrespective of the time zone where they are located. We follow IST (Indian Standard Time).
